Greenview Bank Fails in Wake of 2 Other Closings

Springfield Greenview State bank. of Greenview Menard county, failed to open its doors Monday. The closing of the bank was said to the result of similar action by banks in Macity and Havana Saturday Deposits amounted to $447,130. Capital stock was listed at $75,000 and the surplus at $10,000. The Greenview State bank consolidated with First State Bank of Greenview about a year ago.
