MAY IS NOT BUT THE CHURCH IS Alta Vista Receiver Brings Foreclosure Against Church in District Court day. If district court its pursues normal course, defunct bank may soon live church in this county. Suit has been filed by the People's State bank of Alta Vista, through Johnson, the receiver, against the trustees of the Pentacostal church of Council Grove for the recovery of $1,210 and interest. The specific defendants are Pape, John trustees of the Pentacostal, and Gus Pape. According to the foreclosure petition, of church in 1927 borrowed from Gus Pape, Later, Pape sold assigned the mortgage given him to the People's bank. The receiver that alleges only $200 was ever paid on the principle and that defaulted terest makes the total due Security for the loan is church property and unless the congregation can find some means of retiring the loan, the bank which not operating may become the dictator of church which is.
