DEPARTMENT BRINGS FORECLOSURE ACTION

A foreclosure suit against Robert and Rachel Boyd was filed in common pleas court today by the state banking department, which is in charge of liquidating the West Lafayette bank.

The suit states that the Boyds executed a promissory note to the West Lafayette bank for $1,600 on May 21, 1928, and that a mortgage was given on a lot in West Lafayette as security.

There is still $1,600 due on the note, the suit states, and foreclosure of the mortgage is asked, with a judgment for the amount due. Pomerene & Pomerene represent the state banking department.
