NEW INDUSTRY COLUMBIA, Nov. 11.โA large tract of land in the southern part of Columbia is being cleared and graded for the location of an extensive reducing plant for the Southern Naval Stores company, manufacturers of pine products. It is the purpose of this concern to utilize yellow pine stumps on the cut-over pine lands in Marion county and on many farms. This new industry, it is understood, will give employment to a large number of men in the county. NAMED BANK RECEIVER WAYNESBORO, Miss., Nov. 11.โA. F. Rawlings has been appointed receiver of the old First National Bank of Waynesboro, in liquidation, relieving J. G. Neno.
