Indict Cashier of Brownsburg Bank DANVILLE, Ind., Dec. 13.-(AP) -Cleo Hunt, cashier of the Hunter bank, a private bank at Brownsburg which now is closed, was released under $5,000 bond today after his arrest on indictments charging him with banker's embezzlement, grand larceny and forgery. A Hendricks county grand jury investigated the bank's affairs several weeks ago, but returned no indictments. At the request of John A. Kendall, prosecuting attorney, a special grand jury was summoned by Judge A. J. Stevenson and it voted the indictments. Hunt is the son-in-law of Tyra Hunter, owner of the bank, which was closed in June, 1932. The indictments alleged that the cashier accepted deposits after he knew the bank would close; that he converted to his own use $8,750 entrusted to him by T. G. Smith to buy Liberty bonds: that he took for own use Liberty bonds belonging to Myrtle Reynolds valued at $3,500, and that he forged a check for $800 with the intention of defrauding Annie Neal. WANT ROAD SHORTENED INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. -A proposal for the re-routing of state road 46 east from Greens- burg to the Ohio state line was made today to the state highway commission by delegation of citizens from Decatur, Dearborn and Ripley Members of the delegation said the proposed new route would shorten the distance from Indianapolis to Cincinnati by about 20 miles and in addition would eliminate several dangerous curves.
