ASTORIA STATE BANK FAILS TO OPEN DOORS ia State bank, the only remaining banking institution of Astoria failed to open its doors there today. C. E. Moore, president of the bank, announced that this action had to be taken because of heavy withdrawals. HARMON REPRESENTS URBANA Urbana will be represented at the annual state convention of the Illinois Municipal league today and tomorrow at Hotel Faust in Rockford by Mayor Reginald C. Harmon, R. E. Winkelmann, city attorney and corporation counsel; M. H. Kinch, city engineer; A. D. McLarty, secretary of the league, and three members of Ms staff Miss Marjorie Dickinson, Mrs. Dorothy Wagner and Mrs. Cora James.
