Runs on the Farmers' bank and the Citizens' bank of West Palm Beach were such that an armored car was dispatched from Miami bearing cash for panicky depositors. No sooner had the First Ameican Bank and Trust company posted notice that business was suspended for the protection of depositors than institutions closedt-1 Northwood Bank and Trust company of West Palm Beach and First Bank and Trust company of Palm Beach.

WEST PALM BEACH. Mar United Press.) by the appearance of two armored cars hearing $2,000,000 cash from Miami depositors in the remaining banks of the Palm Beaches ceased their clamor for withdrawals today. Reese, president of the Farmers' Bank, and B. A. Maxfield of the Citizens Bank, announced they were able to meet the demands of yesterday's run. Although recurrence is not expected today. more cash will be brought from Jacksonville as an additional safeguard. The two other remaining chartered banks at the beaches said they experienced no serious runs yesterday and were prepared for whatever demands might be made by deposi. tors.
