Buffalo Countv And Round About Bank failures in Nebraska have been rather of late. The first one in about week is that of the Plateau State bank at Herman. Dr. J. Cameron, 68, died Satur* day evening at his home in Kearney of heart disease. He had practiced medicine in Kearney since 1889. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held Tuesday. A subscription receipt given by the Ravenna News was endorsed and deposited. went the rounds of the Kansas City clearing house and returned, doing duty as four dollar check.The local bank spoiled things at last by turning down the scrap of paper. The Lehigh Valley railroad has established one cent mile rate in an effort to increase passenger traffic. The rate applies to round trip tickets between stations on the same Police and a deputy fire marshal began Monday an investigation of five fires in the St. Paul Catholic church in four days. All were of incendiary origin, the marshal stated. and were discovered after causing minor damage. The total damage placed at $300. Lighted candles had been used to eause the fires. Four of the fires were on Sunday. A cap was found by which the miscreant may be traced.

VOGT AGAIN PLATEAU RECEIVER Vogt, who served charge the Plateau State bank at Herman from the time of its closing February, 1932, until last Decemcharge that institution's affairs, the result of transfer made last week. Mr. Hoflfman, succeeded Vogt, also taking charge of the failed bank at Oakland, has been assigned the Winnebago bank. Mr. Vogt now receiver for the banks Hooper, Winslow and Oakland, well the Plateau bank, will spend Monday Tuesday of each week in Herman.
