CAMPAIGN PLANS MADE Women's Division of Democratic Committee Meets Today Campaign plans were discussed at meeting of the women's division of the Jasper County Democratic committee this afternoon in the circuit court room. Mrs. J. D. Plummer, chairman, was in charge. Mrs. George Lavery of Joplin addressed the meeting on "The Victory Campaign." Plans for joint sessions of the county and township organizations were discussed by Grover C. James of Joplin, county chairman. Mrs. Plummer outlined plans for the township gatherings. Arrangements will be made to hold both county and township sessions once month. Officers of the women's division are: Mrs. Plummer, chairman; Mrs. Barney Finn, Sarcoxie, first vice chairman; Mrs. Emma Kasper, Carthage, second vice chairman; Mrs. Isherwood, Carl Junction, third vice chairman; Mrs. Lee Daugherty, Webb City, secretary, and Miss Mary Hackney, Carthage, treasurer. Receiver for Joplin Bank John W. Freeman, Joplin real tate man and investor, yesterday was named by the state finance department to take charge of the affairs of the Joplin State bank as receiver. The bank closed recently, as sult of heavy withdrawals. Mr. Freeman was stockholder in the bank and one of its original founders. He announced he would make an effort to reorganize it as soon as he ascertained the state finance department's requirements. Widow of Veteran Dies Mrs. Frances Cadelia Price, 84 years old, died at the Price home in Purcell at 12:20 o'clock this afternoon. Price was the widow of John Price, union veteran of the civil war who died in 1912. She was member of the S. and of the Methodist Episcopal church. A niece, Lewis of California, Funeral services will be held the Methodist church in Purcell o'clock Monday.
