APPOINTED BANK RECEIVER. B. L. Stutler and family of Prairie Hill, in Chariton county, were here Sunday visiting their relatives in Boynton and other places. Mr. Stutler was cashier of the Farmers and Merchants Bank at Prairie Hill that recently closed on account of bad loans made several years ago. We understand that by request of stockholders and depositors of the bank that Mr. Stutler has been appointed receiver of the bank by Finance Commissioner Cantley and took charge of the bank B. L. Stutler was cashier of the Boynton Bank for a number of years. When the depression came to his community, he closed the doors of that bank and notified the depositors to come and get their money, paying every depositor every cent they had in the bank. Mr. Cantley made no mistake in placing the defunct banks business in the hands of Bernie Stutler, as he is thoroughly capable, honest and reliable, and deserves the honor that has been bestowed upon him.
