FINANCIAL NOTES. The Farmers State bank at Colfax, Wash., is making preparation to convert to a national institution. Washington state bankers will meet at Walla Walla on June 4-6 and the Oregon convention will occur at Medford June 15 and 16, while the Idaho financiers will assemble at Twin Falls June 8 and 9. The Christopher, Knickerbocker & Howard private bank of Auburn, Wash., has been turned over to Dr. B. E. Noye as receiver. The bank has been in existence for ten years and has deposits of $204,000 and its other liabilities amount to $21,000. Notes and other securities of a face value of $246,000 are held by the bank, of which only $8,000 could be turned into cash. It is estimated that less than $100,000 can be realized on the securities.
