NEWS NOTES by car while walking along the highway at night, Mrs. Jack Pearson, 67 years of Dorset was fatally hurt. The driver of the car was blinded by glaring lights of another machine. he said. Fall From Scaffold Fatal Whittlesey, Wis. Herman Zuleger, an old time resident of this fell from scaffold on his barn and was injured. Zuleger was unmarried. He is survived by four brothers and three sisters.
Drunken Driver Jailed Chelses, Loroff of Chelsea is serving a 70 day sentence in jail here, as result of a drunken driving charge. Loroff's car seriously injured Fred Rindt of this city. ELEVATOR MAN DIES, HOSPITAL GETS INSURANCE
CEVERAL years ago wealthy man loved crippled children built hospital for them. In that hospital ever since it opened, an old elevator man ran his car up and down, carrying these children. Sometimes they were weeping children clinging to sad others; sometimes they were small boys and girls on crutches who swun_ themselves on and off the car: sometimes the car carried long litter filled with bables wrapped like pink and blue it was & small runaway trying to escape frfom nurse doctor sometimes child, sured, who left after months of hospital life. They were all the old elevator man's "children." Th eother day the old man died. leaving no one he loved save all his little cripples. He hadn't much money except insurance policy but what had, with the policy, Adolph Erickson, 248 Cedar avenue, had left to the William Eustis Hospital for Crippled Children at the University of Minnesota.
NEW PASTOR AT OWATONNA Owkatonna, Minn., Sept. 25. M. O. Wolfe, who recently resigned as pastor of the Avenue Baptist church of Kansas City, Mo., to accept a call here, has taken charge of the pulpit of the First Baptist church of Owatonna.
