COMPROMISE ORDERS SIGNED BY PADBURY FOR BANK RECEIVER
Three claims against stockholders and borrowers of the East Helena State bank were settled when compromise offers were approved yesterday by Judge George W. Padbury, Jr., after a hearing in district court on the petition of S. L. Kleve, liquidating agent.
S. J. Maronich settled a $1,000 stockholder liability claim upon which $425 had been paid by paying $400 for the balance due. N. Maronich, who had a $2,000 liability upon which he had paid $625, settled the remaining $1,375 for $1,000.
A note given the bank by Matt Solich for $150 was settled by a compromise offer of payment of $120 representing the borrower's balance on deposit at the bank. It was stated that compromise settlements netted the liquidating agent more than would result from suits for the full amounts.
