Receiver Takes Charge of Closed Sullivan Bank Sullivan Charles A. Gregory, tendered the position of receiver of the closed Merchants and Farmers Bank in Sullivan, accepted the post conference with state banking officials in Springfield Friday, and has taken charge of the situation here. Depositors are circulating a petition however, the appointment of John A. Webb. former president of the bank as receiver. It is said that early in the negotiations for the appointment of receiver. Mr. Webb offered his services in that capacity, free of charge.
