Crawford Moore Bank In Boise Closed BOISE, Idaho, Aug. 31.βThe Crawford Moore bank in Boise closed its doors this morning, the directors issuing a statement saying it was thought best for the depositors to turn the bank over to the comptroller. Examiner E. A. Palmer was in charge. The First Security bank of Boise was the only bank remaining in the city. There was a run on that bank but depositors were paid off as fast as they appeared and the rush to withdraw was soon appeased. Shortly after noon the First Security bank put out a sign reading: "For the benefit of our patrons, this bank will stay open until late tonight. If you want your money come and get it." The statement was signed by J. L. Driscoll, president. It extended half the width of the building and letters on the sign were nearly two feet high.
