GRANITE STATE PROVIDENT. Petition for Distribution Filed With Clerk of Courts. This retition for distribution has been filed with the Clerk of Courts, and made returnable at the June rules; the first 1 Tuesday: Supreme Judicial Court in Equity9 Cumberland ss.-Fremont E. Timberlake, bank examiner, vs. Granite State Provident Association. 1 And now comes Fremont E. Timberlake, bank examiner, plaintiff aforesaid, 1 and alleges: That on the 24th day of April, 1896, Henry B. Cleaves, of Portland, in the County of Cumberland, was appointed by said Court receiver of said defendant to take possession of all the as sets of said defendant located and depos1 ited within the State of Maine, except a certain deposit in the State Treasury; That said Henry B. Cleaves on the first day of May, 1896, accepted said trust and qualified and entered upon the discharge of his duties as such receiver; Upon information and belief that said defendant was, on said first day of May, 1896, and still is, owing and indebted to residents of this State in large sums of money, to wit: four hundred and fifty thousand dollars; Upon information and belief that said ; residents of this State have proved their claims against said defendant before Henry W. Swasey of said Portland, the master heretofore appointed to take proof ) of debts of residents of this State against said defendant; Upon information and belief that the said Henry B. Cleaves as receiver afore: said has reduced to, and still holds in his possession, a large amount of the said assets of said defendant, located and deposited within this State, to wit, the sum of sixty-tive thousand dollars. Wherefore your petitioner prays that the said Henry B. Cleaves, receiver as aforesaid, be ordered and directed to make such partial distribution of the said assets of said defendant in his hands and possession to the residents of this State, who have proved their claims against said defendant as may to the Court seem meet.
