BANKER SENT TO PRISON Given One-Year Term in the State Penitentiary. Willow Lakes, Nov. 24. -Walter Syverson, an officer of the Bank of Willow Lakes, which was thrown into the hands of a receiver about a year ago, appeared before Judge Sherwood of the state circuit court, and entered a plea of guilty to charges of irregularities which had been preferred against him in connection with the placing of the bank in the hands of a receiver. He was sentenced to a term of one year in the Sioux Falls penitentiary, but the sentence was suspended on his promise to turn over all of his property, including his home, for the benefit of the creditors of the bank. This adjustment, it is said, meets the approval of all concerned.
