Depositors Block Run on Gibbon Bank
Gibbon, Minn., Feb. 18.—Possibility of a run on the Citizens State Bank of Gibbon was averted, officials said, when depositors agreed to sign waivers on their deposits. Action was taken after a whispering campaign against the bank had been reported.
A meeting of depositors was called and almost 60 per cent of them were said to have signed waivers. Later, it was reported, the number was increased to 90 per cent.
