Qualifies for Membership in Federal Corporation; Reports Many New Accounts Fenton, Jan. 4.โE. C. Reid, vice president and cashier of the State Savings bank of Fenton, announced today the bank's membership in the Federal Deposit Insurance corporation which insures all deposits up to $2,500. Mr. Reid said many new accounts were opened since Monday which indicates the bank may expect a large increase in deposits this year. The bank is capitalized at $50,000, and is in an exceptionally liquid condition according to Mr. Reid, who stated further that the progress of the bank since reopening on June 6, 1932, has been more than gratifying. Officers of the institution are: President, George W. Cook, Flint; vice president, George Green; vice president and cashier, E. C. Reid, and assistant cashier, R. F. Smith; directors, Mr. Cook and Mr. Green, F. H. Hitchcock, J. H. Jennings, D. E. Kelleher, M. H. McHugh, G. W. Pellett, Mr. Reid and C. E. Rolland. Mrs. Jennie Story of Waterloo, New York, is visiting her uncle, D. R. Furlong. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lonsbury have been visiting Mrs. Lloyd Kelly at the Howell sanatorium. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Westman spent the holidays with friends in Detroit. Mrs. D. S. Frackelton and Mrs. Alice Forrestel, who have been spending the last week the guests of Mrs. Frackelton's son, Dr. Ralph Frackelton at Cleveland, have returned to Fenton.
