Local Bank Receiver Goes To Des Moines J. P. Spalla, who has had charge of the receivership of the Farmers Savings bank of this city, and eight other closed banks in north-central Iowa, has accepted a position in the receivership department in the office of the state banking department in Des Moines, and he is leaving today to begin his new work there. Mr. Spalla has been quite successful in handling the affairs of closed banks, and the transfer, which was announced last Wednesday, comes as a reward for efficient services. M. P. Wilkinson, who has been associated with Mr. Spalla as receiver of the Farmers Savings bank of this city, will now have charge of the Farmers Savings bank of Ruthven, and also closed banks at Dickens, Arnolds Park, and Ringsted. M. P. Christopher of Parkersburg, arrived here yesterday, to help Mr. Wilkinson with his work. Both, Mr. Wilkinson and Mr. Christopher, will make their home in Ruthven.
