ROBBERS VISIT WESTVILLE BANK / {INTERNATIONAL NEWS SERVICE LAPORTE, Ind., Dec. 24.-Robbers " ho early today blew the safety deposit vault of the Bank of Westville, near here, secured approximately. $12,000 in Liberty bonds. The robbery was followed today by a run on the bank. Efforts to stem the withdrawal of money today were unsuccessful.

ROB WESTVILLE BANK OF $12,000 Yeggs Blow Safety Deposit Vault and Secure Liberty Bonds. LAPORTE, Ind., Dec. 24.-Yeggs Túesday night blew the safety deposit vault of the bank at Westville, a small town near here, securing in the neighborhood of $12,000 mostly in Liberty bonds. Mrs. E. A. Dolman, living near the bank, heard the explosion at 2 o'clock Wednesday morning, she thought nothing of it and went back to bed. The robbery was discovered by J. S. Rendwaller, cashier, this morning. A run was started on the bank by farmers Wednesday morning. Efforts to stop the withdrawal of money has been unsuccessful.
