LAND BANK LOANS IN JUNE, $959,700 Money Advanced on Business Practically Finished When Test Suit Brought. SPOKANE-The federal land bank of Spokane resumed in June the completion of mortgage loans to farmers on business that had progressed toward completion when the temporary suspension of active operations became necessary as a result of the suit attacking the constitutionality of the farm loan act. This suit, now before the supreme court of the United States, was brought at the instance of the Farm Mortgage Bankers' association. "The bank completed in June 292 mortgage loans for $959,700,". said D. G. O'Shea, president. "This makes a total of 16,943 farm mortgage loans for $44,452,835 completed by this bank during the three years it has been in operation. There is considerable additional business in transit awaiting completion which will be promptly cared for.
