SNYDER IS RECEIVER Harry E. Snyder was notified this morning his appointment as receiver of the Peoples State bank Parkerville which went out business Monday. The Council Grove attorney was appointed largely at the urgent solicitation of Parkerville stockholders in the bank and because of his record in paying 100 per cent from the wreckage of the Delavan state bank year two ago. He went Parkerville this morning to take charge of the bank affairs.

STRIVE TO PAY At least one bank receiver will comply with the instructions of Chas. Johnson state receiver. and declare an initial dividend to depositors with60 days. who in charge of the Peoples State. Parkerville, hopes to pay between 25 and cent within the period fixed by Johnson. NOTICE The Statutes of Kansas provide that all claims of depositors and other creditors must be filed with the Receiver within one year after the date of his appointment, and if not SO filed such claims shall be barred from participation in the estate of such_bank. PAY BANK DIVIDENDS Depositors in the Peoples State bank of Parkerville, will receive a dividend this month. H. E. Snyder, receiver, has been authorized to pay depositors 20 per cent of the amount to their credit when the bank suspended. The dividend cannot be paid in time for Christmas but will be distributed on December 31. Betwen $5,000 and $6,000 will be placed in circulation through this payment. As the banking department is curtailing postage, it will be necessary for dividend recipients to go to the bank for checks.-Republican.
