TO CLOSE ESTATE ElDorado, Sept. 11.-(P)hearing to close the estate of W. F. Oberst, whose body with that of Mrs. Oberst and their five children, was found in the smouldering ruins of their farm home near Burns, Kansas, will be held in Probate Court here October 2. It is valued at $25,000. TO MAKE REFUND Ellsworth, Kan., Sept. 11.-(P) Ben C. Bond, examiner in charge of the defunct Central National bank of Ellsworth, has announced that a first refund of 25 per cent will be made soon to depositors and creditors. The bank was suspended March 25 with total liabilities of $1,106,601. AN APPOINTMENT Lawrence, Sept. appointment of Prof A. J. Mix to become head of the department of Botany at the University of Kansas, succeeding Prof. William C.
