FATHER, SON ASK FOR CITIZENSHIP PITTSBURG, May 9.—Two applicants for citizenship papers are Michel Antkowiak, 57, and his son, Joseph, 29, both of West Newton. The father who is a miner was born in Poland and the son in Germany. They came to this country in 1906. Admitted to Hospital. Charles Cable, 13 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cable of Dawson, was admitted to the Hospital Wednesday night for treatment. Jennie Bower of Rector, Harry Felton of Dunbar, Mrs. Marguerite Beal of South street and Mrs. Ellen Peck of Mount Braddock were admitted this morning. Bank Receiver Quits. UNIONTOWN, May 9.—Edward W. McShane, receiver of the First National Bank and the Masontown National Bank, has tendered his resignation to the Comptroller of the Currency to return to his insurance business. Murders Girl, Kills Self. QUAKERTOWN, May 9.—Sixteen-year-old Ethel Strawn, a high school student, was shot and killed, police said, by Charles Campbell, 26, a former hired hand, who then committed suicide because he had been forbidden to see her.
