RECORD OF THE COURTS Circuit Court. In the circuit court yesterday the jury in the case of C. B. Sims vs. Loveless Walton returned a verdict for the plaintiff for $100. In the case of the Alabama Grocery company vs. H. A. McNutt, a judgment was rendered for the plaintiff for $262.62. James T. Spencer sues Gustave Newbauer for $1000 damages for alleged assault and battery. G. D. Floyd vs. Western Union Telegraph company. Plaintiff claims of the defendant $1900 damages for alleged failure to deliver a telegram within a reasonable time. City Gourt. In the first division of the city court yesterday, Judge Senn rendered a decree ordering George H. Stevenson, receiver of the Bessemer Savings bank, to pay 45 per cent of the claim of A. B. Baxter & Co. In the second division of the city court the arguments in the case of William Little vs. R. D. Johnston were being made before Judge Ferguson. Chancery Court.
