RECORD OF THE COURTS Circuit Court. In the circuit court yesterday the jury in the case of C. B. Sims vs. Loveless Walton returned a verdict for the plaintiff for $100. In the case of the Alabama Grocery company vs. H. A. McNutt, a judgment was rendered for the plaintiff for $262.62. James T. Spencer sues Gustave Newbauer for $1000 damages for alleged assault and battery. G. D. Floyd vs. Western Union Telegraph company. Plaintiff claims of the defendant $1900 damages for alleged failure to deliver a telegram within a reasonable time. City Gourt. In the first division of the city court yesterday, Judge Senn rendered a decree ordering George H. Stevenson, receiver of the Bessemer Savings bank, to pay 45 per cent of the claim of A. B. Baxter & Co. In the second division of the city court the arguments in the case of William Little vs. R. D. Johnston were being made before Judge Ferguson. Chancery Court. In the chancery court yesterday the case of the Mayor and Aldermen of Birmingham vs. C. E. McCoy et al. was submitted on motion to dismiss. M. Moran et al. vs. Birmingham Railway, Light and Power company; submitted on motion to dismiss.
