STATE BANKS THRIVING DEPOSITS INCREASED $800,000 SINCE LAST REPORT TO AUDITOR. Overdrafts Have Decreased and More Loans Have Been Made-Banks' Resources and Liabilities. Indiana state banks are thriving, according to the last reports made to the auditor of state and prepared by Lee O. Rothchild, chief clerk of the Bank Department. The report answers the call made Nov. 25. A comparison with the report made Sept. 15 shows that deposits have increased over $800,000, loans and discounts over $700,000, while overdrafts have decreased $40,000 over the last call. On a combined capital of $4,770,550 the surplus and profits amount to $1,530,619.62, which is a most excellent showing in the opinion of bankers. Since the last call the German Bank, of Evansville, and the State Bank, of North Judson, have suspended business. The figures prepared by Mr. Rothchild follow: -Resources.-
