A DETERMINED EFFORT The Bellefontaine Examiner says that one of the reasons the West Manefield bank closed was that the West Mansfield Enterprise failed to appear the week the bank's statement should have been printed, which caused suspicion and on the bank. The Enteprise in its last issue, says: "After making determined effort to close the doors of the Farmers State Bank by withdrawing their deposits on Monday, the DI rectors finally decided that night not to reopen on Tuesday morning. onsequently the affairs of this stitution was taken over by Jones, representative of the State Banking Department."

SEEK TO RECOVER BANK WITHDRAWALS BELLEFONTAINE, May 28.β€”State banking department authorities are making an effort that may lead to court litigation to have returned to the Farmers State bank at West Mansfield sums amounting to about $30,000, alleged to have been withdrawn from the bank in January, 1932, on "tips" that the bank was about to close. The state took charge of the bank for liquidation on Jan. 17, 1932, after a heavy run. WAR DEPARTMENT, Office of the Constructing Quartermaster, Fairfield Air Depot, Patterson Field, Fairfield, O. Sealed proposals will be received at this office until 11:00 A. M., E. S. T., May 29, 1934, and then publicly opened for the construction and installation of Insect Screen Doors & Window Screens in 68 Officers' Quarters at Fairfield Air Depot, Patterson Field, Fairfield, O. Plans and specifications will be furnished upon deposit of a certified check in the amount of $5.00, made payable to the Treasurer of the U. S. Information at above address. 5-1, 2, 3, 4, 26, 28.
