Bruce Gallion Fined $1 and Costs As Result of Reported Fight At Rockford. MARCH TERM STILL QUIET Judicial Business Slow At Browns- New Cases Have Been Filed. The case of Bruce Gallion, storekeeper, of Rockford, charged with assault and battery with intent to commit murder, which was turned over to circuit court following hearing here in city court during the latter of December has terminated by the trail in circuit court. Gallion after entering not guilty. was found guilty by jury and fined $1 and costs. Gallion was arrested by local police after an alleged fight in the store at Rockford said to have arisen over an onion in which John Findley, north of Seymour, was wounded. The defondant was placed on the case here. under $1,000 bond at the hearing The March term continues quiet, with little business of unusual im portance. Several new cases have been filed and others set down for trial. Recent court business includes the following: Citizens State Bank, Brownstown, files suit against Eva Banks, et al, on note and mortgage, demand $500. Charles L. Smith vs. Aretus Shepherd, et al., on notch trial by court and finding for the plaintiff and judgment rendered in the sum of $142.03. Sherman Hall et al. vs. Union Do State Bank, receiver, et al., for damages and mandate; cause set for trial on March 20. State ex rel., George C. MeDonald vs. Marion F. Davis, trusted, for mandate; John W. Craig qualifies as special judge and assumes jurisdietion. Frank L. Schornick, receiver, vs. Nora McGill, et al., in partition of real estate: cause set for trial on March 27. Frank L. Schornick, receiver, vs. Fred A. Garriott; John E. Craig qualifies as special Judge and assumes jurisdiction. William Eikenbery vs. Charles V. Long, et al., to foreclosure; cause dismissed on motion of the plaintiff. In the matter of the receivership of the Citizens State Bank, the receiver reports of certain real estate to Frank L. Schornick in the sum of $2,000; report and deed approved. Bruce Scott vs. Fern Scott, to annull marriage; trial by the court and taken under advisement. State vs. Claude Edwards, for non-support; bond fixed at $300; same filed and approved.
