BIG BANK DEFALCATION. PERU, Ind., Oct. 11.-Auditor of State Klauss today applied for a receiver for the defunct State Bank of Amboy, and the case will be heard Thursday. John Kendall, the missing cashier. whose alleged defalcation It is said will reach more than $100,000. is still missing. His friends suspect that he probably intended suicide, for his wife has tendered the bank his note for $100,000. payable after his death or on October 7. ITe left Amboy on October 9. going to the neighboring village of Galveston. Since that time nothing has been heard or seen of him.

KLAUSS APPLIES FOR RECEIVER OF BANK PERU. Ind., Oct. 12.-Auditor of State Klauss today applied for a receiver for the defunct state bank of Amboy and the case will be heard Thursday. John Kendall, the cashier, whose alleged defalcation, it is said. will reach more than $100,000, is still missing. His friends suspect that he probably intended suicide. for his wife has tendered the bank his note for $100,000 payable after his death or on Oct. 7. He left Amboy on Oct. 9. going to the neighboring village of Galveston in an automobile borrowed from the Rev. E. E. Kennedy of Amboy. Since that time nothing has been heard of or from him.
