HOME SAVINGS BANK.
The bank examiner from Jeffer son City has finished checking up the books in the Home Savings Bank, which has been closed the past two weeks, due to a run on the bank. He has given out the information that the books and all accounts in the bank were found absolutely straight, and that the only thing lacking to re-open the bank is some more cash, made short by withdrawals. From what we can learn we are inclined to think that within a short time the bank will be re-opened. A bank is certainly needed here as it is very unhandy to conduct business without one.

Bank runs are almost always and everywhere a deterioration of bank fundamentals.
But not for you.
You are the measure-zero exception: great fundamentals, solid bank, and yet the Diamond Dybvig fairy spread its rumor. Depositors woke up. Your collateral was not prepositioned. The Clearinghouse had it for you.
Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to jail… or worse.
