County November term circuit court opened Monday morning with Judge Claude Saum presiding. The morning was taken with calling of the petit for weeks and calling the grand jury, One of the petit jurors sent and two asked to be excused, leaving 33, nine were excused lot, leaving 24, as required. Aretas Dayton, of Concord townabsent. Harry AmmerOnarga, asked excusbecause he undertaker, John of Prairie Green, asked to be excused of sickness in the family. The petit jury for the first two consists of Walter Krumwiede, Louis Wagner, Herman Redecker, Ed. Bushman, Henry Landrey, Dyer, Homer Remley, Ross Garfield, Charles Elberts, Taylor, Phillip Carl Tammen, William loway, Murrel Webster, Porter Dawson, John Books, Roger Cook, Andrew Hicks, Charles Cambridge, Earl Ikens, George Valencourt, Leslie Warrick, Frank Bishopp Metsker. After lengthy instruction, which he indicated that this was first petit jury to instruct since being elected, Judge Saum dismissed the petit for the morning. Three persons were missing from the grand Devine, John Dxter and Lamie; those present being John Miller, William Baker, Clifford Longton, William Eastburn, Nightengale, Emil Dieken, Harold Jensen, Henry DeWitt, Addison Goodell, Sam Bell, Charles Priest, Bailey William Schoolman, Hugh Conn, Hiser, William Lyons, George Lockhart, Ray Danforth, Charles Warner and Ray Hufford. After short instruction they retired the room with Nightingale as foreman and Stone door man. No report forthcoming as they retired for the day, late in the afternoon, but was indicated two cases had been heard by them. 4-H Club calves dispersed to many club last Friday afternoon by Farm Adviser Johnson for the baby beef project. The calves which had been purchased Johnson from the Crews Bros. ranch Childress, Tex., were shipped here last week and dispersed from the Hi Harms farm near Crescent City.
