The total amount of deposits swelled quickly, reaching $6,800 by February, 1907. Increases continued until the financial panic of October, 1907, and during the balance of that year and all of 1908 there was a falling off, withdrawals exceeding deposits. By February, 1908, the total of deposits had sunk '0 $6,500 and by February last to $6,200. Since the first of this year, however, the tide has turned and deposits have consistently exceeded withdrawals. This has stimulated the children and their teachers to get a goal of a $10,000 total to be attained by February, 1910.
