LISBONβIn two actions filed by Beulah Mae Kurtz against Walter L. Kurtz, one for an attachment and another for an accounting, the court has granted leave to the defendant to file answer in both causes on or before Oct. 24. There has been a settlement out of court and at the costs of the defendant in the attachment action filed by Edna A. Grimm against Herman C. Willison, and without further record. H. W. Young, as receiver, in the case of The First National Bank of Salem, against Stephen C. Jessup Pattern Works, has been authorized by the court to lease the property to Howell & Williams. I. J. Fulton, superintendent of state banks, in charge of the liquidation of the Citizens Savings Bank of Salem, has been authorized by Judge W. F. Lones to pay $1,075 to the police fund and firemen's pension fund. The bank, however, has been ordered to retain in its possession the $5,000 Silesian Land Owners Association Land Bank six percent bonds for a better market.
