NEWS OF LEWIS AND NEIGHBOR COUNTIES Compiled in Concrete Chapters for the Quick Pursual of the Thousands Interested. A meeting of the demoeratie county central committee of Clearwater county was held in Orofino last Saturday, and eight of the 12 preeinets were represented. The meeting was held for the purpose of eleeting six delegates to attend the state convention, to be held at Poeatello May 18. The delegates chosen are: M. B. Erb, T. B. Reed, J. W. Blake, E. H. Hilton, Roy LeBaron and Joseph Kauffman. Resolutions were adopted endorsing Woodrow Wilson and the national administration, Governor Alexander and Robert H. Elder, national committeeman. The delegation is instrueted for Elder. The Central Pharmacy at Sandpoint was closed Saturday by A. W. Bowen, receiver, for the First National Bank, the principal creditor. The liabilities are $10,000, with assets short of this amount. Prosecuting Attorney Hattabaugh and Sheriff Yates of Idaho county are seeking information of the whereabouts of Bert Areher, who was lost during January in the snow about Elk City. He is about 30 years of age, weighs about 120 pounds and is 5 feet and 4 inches tall. He left the cabin of Martin Moc January 1 and has not since been heard of.
