6TH AVENUE CLUB BACKS BANK MOVE Seventy representative business men of the 6th avenue district, who are depositors in the Central bank which suspended business yesterday, gave the board of directors and officers an unreserved vote of confidence when a report of the institution's financial condition was read to them at a mass meeting last night. The meeting was called by William J. Parker, president of the 6th Avenue Business Men's club. When a detailed account of the suspended bank's condition was read a committee drew up the following resolution and it was accepted unanimously: "We, members of the 6th Avenue Business Men's club and depositors in the Central bank, hereby extend a vote of confidence to the directors and officers of the Central bank for the fair and business like manner in which affairs have been conducted. (Signed) "WILLIAM J. PARKER, President 6th Avenue Business Men's Club."
