NO CLUE OBTAINED TO MISSING CASHIER J. F. HOLCOMBE HAS NOT BEEN HEARD FROM SINCE APRIL 6. Little Rock, July 13.-Since the evening of April 6, when he was seen openly and talked with many in Little Rock, J. F. Holcombe, the defaulting cashier of the Bank of Delight has not been seen in Arkansas. Sheriff Rogers of Pike county, who was in Little Rock yesterday settling with the state, reports that he has run down many clues that seemed to promise success, all to no purpose. The courts took possession of the bank. His defalcation amounted to over $10,000 and the sheriff thinks that he probably got away with over half that sum in cash. It was some time after he left before he was suspected, and by the time the law was on his trial, he had probably made good his escape from the country. Sheriff Rogers, however, has not given up hopes of finally running him to cover.
