Description

Articles (July 1932) describe a local 10-day business moratorium / business holiday in Fort Dodge that included Fort Dodge National Bank; the holiday began July 10 and ended about July 20, 1932. This appears to be a temporary, community-organized suspension (not a failure or receivership). OCR in Article 1 likely misreads a detail saying depositors were asked to waive withdrawals for three years โ€” context and Article 2 suggest a short moratorium (10-day business holiday). I do not infer any bank run from the text.
