SUIT AGAINST DE SOTO BANK IS BEING HEARD The hearing of the suit of the Wallker Finance and Securities company, of Sparta, against the DeSoto Banking company, for recovery of $4,000 advanced to the bank the latter part of 1916, wasbegun this afternoon in the City Court of Americus. W. H. Burwell, of Sparta, former speaker of the Georgia house, was present as leading counsel for the plaintiff, assisted by W. A. Dodson, and the defense was represented by W. W. Dykes, and James and John Allen Fort. A hard-fought legal battle was in prospect. The money was advanced at the time B. L. Carter was cashier of the bank, which suspended business about a year ago.
