ASSIGNED.-The "Wisconsin Pinery Bank," of Stevens Point, has succumbed to the panic, and assigned all the assets to Geo. Hangerford, Esq. The people of that city were surprised at this failure, and rumor has it that they had on deposit about $25,000. Our people have been necessitated, since the "bust up" of the Wood Co. Bank, to obtain exchange there. Where shall are get it now? Is there a reliable institution at Portage ?
