SAWYER COUNTY BANK IS SUSPENDED TODAY MADISON, Wis., Nov. 2 (AP)-Suspension of the Sawyer County bank at Hayward was announced to. day by the State banking department. The affairs of the bank have been turned over to the department for liquidation, Acting Commissioner Thomas J. Herrold said. Clarence Wise, president of the bank, recent. ly was killed in an accident. The institution had deposits of about $200,000. capital of $20,000 and surplus and undivided profits of $10,000. home here last night. The main division of the Wisconsin Central ran from Duluth to Minneapolis and then through the heart of Wisconsin to Chicago. Whitcomb for many years was director of the Marine National Exchange bank and the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance company.
