IMPORTANT MATTER IN BANKRUPTCY.Messrs. Wm. M. and R. J. Lowry, of this city, on yesterday filed a petition in Bankruptcy against the Bank of Fulton. Messrs. Lowry are the holders of a large amount of the bills of the Bank, which the officers refused to pay on demand. This case, coming before the United States District court, will devolve upon Judge Erskine the responsibility of deciding the important questions, arising under the United States Bankrupt laws, between suspended Banks and their bill holders. Messrs. Arnold, Broyles & Robinson are prosecuting the case for the petitioners.-Atlanta (Ga.) Intel.
