HONOR PAID TO A. ABRAHAMSON Business Men and Public Officials Suspend Work During Funeral of Pioneer. With business men and public officials suspending business in order to pay their respects to their deceased comrade, the funeral of A. Abrahamson, 65, well known business man and pioneer resident of this city, accidentally killed Monday when his automobile collided with a Great Northern train, was held this afternoon. Many Review Remains. Scores of friends went to the deceased's home, 111 Reeyes avenue, this morning, to view the remains, which lay in state between the hours of 10 and 12. Private services were held for members of the family this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home. At 3 o'clock services were conducted by Rev. David Stoeve at the Zion Lutheran church, which was filled with mourners. Interment was made at Memorial Park cemetery. The Pallbearers. The acting pallbearers were O. T. Ellestad, O. S. Hanson, L. H. Sannes, A. I. Hunter, J. D. Bacon and Mayor James Djnnie. The honorary pallbearers were Don McDonald, L. K. Hassell, Stephen Collins, John Budge, George Wilder and Matt Colton. Wholesale and jobbing houses in this city all closed between the hours of 2 and 3 o'clock this afternoon out of respect for Mr. Abrahamson, who for years had been president of the Grand Forks Fruit company, and the Scandinavian American bank, of which the deceased was vice president, suspended business for the day at 2 o'clock. Public Offices Close. Public offices in both the city hall and county court house also closed during part of the afternoon as a tribute to Mr. Abrahamson, who was at one time an alderman of the community and treasurer of Grand Forks county.
