Instead of bursting, and swindling its depositors, the First National Bank of Eau Claire, in refreshing contrast with the course pursued by rotton banks elsewhere, gives its depositors notice to withdraw their deposits as the stockholders are about to close that institution as a National Bank and reopen as a private banking house, assigning as a reason for their course that the Government is too exacting of National Banks. The gentlemen who have been running the First National Bank of Eau Claire are deserving of the confidence reposed in them and will no doubt find plenty to do under their proposed "new dispensation."
