Court Notes. E. Mulford yesterday sued John Collins to recover $258.31 due on a promissory note. In the case of J. M. Lane et al., va. S. V. Christian, judgment in favor of the plaintiff was given for $233 by Judge Osborn yesterday. Judgment in favor of plaintiff in the sum of $117.74, was given by Judge Osborn yesterday in the case of S. E. Mulford va. John Collins and others. H. G. Clay yesterday sued William W. Noyes. Alice L. Noyes and others to recovor # due on a promissory note and to foreclose a mortgage. William V. Keating, representing the Dolicitor's Loan and Trust Company, yesterday sued Minnie Howard, Horace Lane and others to recover $2,200 due on a promissory note, and to foreclose a mortgage. In the case of J. W. McGill. Jr., receiver of the Walla Walla Savings bank. vs. Barah E. TO SELL THE ASSETS. Affairs of the Walla Walla Savings Bank to Be Wound Up. WALLA WALLA, Dec. 11.-Special.Last Tuesday the time of the stockholders of the Walla Walla Savings bank, which failed three years ago, expired by limitation. Previous to that Receiver J. W. Mc. Ghee filed a petition with the court showing the condition of affairs of the bank and asking whether or not he should commence suit against the stockholders. The petition was presented to Judge Studevant, of Columbia county, who, after in investigation of the cases, directed that suits be not brought. The papers were filed in court last night. Receiver McGhee's petition shows that the bank is still insolvent, and that from the assets he is unable to pay a dividend to depositors and other creditors. The assets amount to 1000, of which the actual value is $5,000. The real liabilities are $250,000. Judge Studevant ordered the receiver to close up the affairs of the bank RS soun as possible, make public or private sale of the assets within sixty days, use the proceeds first for the payment of expenses and preferred claims, and the balance, if any, to go to the creditors of the bank.

Court Notes. Judge Hanford yesterday signed an or der confirming the sale of the Consolidated Street Railway Company. The divorce proceedings in the case of Hill vs. Hill were concluded by the entering of a decree yesterday, and Mrs. Hill was permitted to resume her name, Mrs. Hasbrouck. An injunction has been Issued by Judge Langley in the case of Hamilton Stillson VR. John Nickolas et al., restraining the defendants from outting timber or removInit logs from the homestead of the plaintim. The Third National Bank of New York yesterday filed a complaint in Intervention in the case of the Seattle National Bank vs. the Empire Jewelry Company, to recover $4,987.61 due on two promissory notes assigned by 8. F. Myers & Co., of New York A decree confirming sale was made by Judge Langley yesterday in the case of J. W. McGhee, Jr., receiver of the Walla Walla Savings bank. vs. Sarah E. Kelso and others. The land sold consists of lot 258, block 14. Columbia, and was bid in by the plaintiff for $990.54. In the case of Fritz L. Jacobson against Arabella Amunds and others, an order confirming sale was made by Judge Langley yesterday. The property sold consists of lots 1, 2 and 3, block 2. and lots 4, $ and 6, in block 6, D. M. Crane's addition, and was sold to plaintiff for $1,200. In the case of Frank E. Knowles vs. Frank F. Sears and Annie Sears, Judge Langley yesterday rendered a judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the sum of $214.32. and declared this sum to be a lien upon a judgment obtained by defendants against the Seattle Consolidated Street Railway Company. Marriage licenses were issued yesterday as follows: Adam Brandt, of Port Blakeley, and Maggie Hellerich, of Seattle; Charles E. Eaton and Flora E. Clarendon. of Seattle: Edwin E. Kelsey and Ethelle A. Sprague, both of Ballard: Dan Murphy and Ida Vowell, both of Newcastle: Heinrich Lougenbacher, of Ballard, and Ernestina W. Leubke, of Seattia. In the case of the Puget Sound National Bank vs. Charles H. Lanning et al., judgment was yesterday entered in favor of the plaintiff by Judge Langley, as follows: Against L 8. J. Hunt. for $30,641.67; against À. P. Mitten and L 8. J. Hunt for $3,500; against E. A. Strout and L 8. J. Hunt for $1,000; against Charles H. Lanning for $2,500; also for a foreclesure of & mortgage to pay the above claims. It is also directed that a claim of Jacob Furth, for $8,049, which is a balance due on the purchase price of the land to be foreclosed, be paid.

Decision Against Walla Walla Bank. WALLA WALLA, Jan. 2.-SpecialJudge Wallace Mount, of the superior court at Sprague, has overruled a motion for & new trial of the case of H. M. Chase VS. receiver and stockholders of the defunct Walla Walla Savings bank, and has given judgment for the plaintiff against the receiver for $11,000, and against the stockholders for $7,000. The case was originally commenced by W. B. Dutro to recover money due him from the bank on a loan.
