Receiver for a Tekes Bank. COLFAX, April &.-{Special.]-The Commercial State Savings bank, of Tekoa, is in the hands of James Cairns as temporary receiver. Argument in receivership proceedings will be made Monday in court here. The receiver was appointed on petition of the stockholders, who allege that H. L Moody, president, and O. D. Moody, cashier, have wrecked the institution so that the stock is now worth but 25 per cent. of its par value. The assets are alleged to be practically valueless, consisting mainly of papers of the president and cashier. The petitioning stockholders have expressed an intention of forcing the institution into liquidation.

A Big Damage Suit Threatened, COLFAX, April 20.-It is reported that Presdent H. L. Moody and cashier O.D. Meody of the Commercial State Savings bank of Tekoa, will sue ex-Receiver James Cairns of Colfax for $100,000 damages, and Attorneys John Pattison and T. Trimble for $20,000 each, for alleged conspiracy with certain stockholders of that bank to ruin the institution. The prospective defendants look upon the matter as skin to a joke. The populist party of Whitman county will nominate their county ticket on May 31.
