Hoko river in Clallam county, where they put in a boom three months ago. They will put in from 15,000,000 to 20,000,000 feet of logs & year. The street car track in this city has been extended up the hill to the Hotel Monte Cristo, and a trial trip was made this week. Bank Examiner Clary was in town this week, and turned over the assets of the Puget Sound National bank from Recelver Church to A. S. Taylor, agent of the stockholders. The bank examiner in conversation with outside parties spoke in very complimentary terms of the manner in which the affairs of the bank had been closed up, the depositors being paid in full with interest at 8 per cent. from the date of suspension. An ecclesiastical council was held in the Congregational church at Edmonds on Wednesday to examine and ordain F. C. Butler. The ordination services took place in the evening as follows: Charge to the pastor, Rev. W. C. Merritt, of Snohemish: ordaining prayer, Rev. Green, of Seattle: charge to the people, Rev. T. W. Butler, of Vancouver, Wash.; right hand of fellowship, Rev. Bailey, of Seattle; benediction, Rev. F. C. Butler, of Edmonds. The educational staff of the Everett public schools for the ensuing year will be as follows: Superintendent, Prof. Friars: Jefferson school, principal, Miss Loughney: Mrs. MacKenzie, Mr. Merrifield, Miss McAllister. Miss Porter, Miss Reicheneker, Mrs. Wall; Monroe school, principal, Mr. Sherwood: Miss King, Miss Whiting, Miss Bailey, Miss Padfield, Miss Carver, Miss McRae: Barge works, Mr. Dickey: High school, Miss Remington and Miss Gray.
