posits in the First National bank. Billy is one of the gold bugs and plutocrats who is a stockholder and director in that bank. About a year ago a run was made on the bank. Eugene Canfield, H. B. Williams and Billy Jenkins pasted a tag on the door, saying they would see that the de- positors would be paid. Billy swelled up and said: "I am worth $100,000." The denositors of the bank would like to have Billy Jenkins again make some state- ment about local financial affairs and let go of the Rothschilds for a few min- utes. He is the owner, or was up to a few months ago, when he "syndicated" his property, the owner of 1,000 acres of land in this county. Billy Jenkins might be able to settle a number of depositors' ac- counts by letting them have land at rea- sonable prices. Many would no doubt be glad to transfer their accounts to him. Billy is very free to accuse every one with being bribed and the paid tool of corpora- tions. Some of the workingmen who used to pat Calamity Bill on the back, have noticed Bill never comes back at us or denies our statements. They did not know the inside of Billy. Since they have found him out, they are dropping him like a hot potato.
