IN CIRCUIT COURT. In the Alexandria circuit court, the Hon. C. E. Nichol, judge, presiding, the following business was transacted yesterday: In the case of J. A. Marshall vs. the Farmers and Mechanics' Savings Bank, Gardner L. Boothe was appointed receiver in place of Leonard Marbury, decased, and the case was referred to William E. Fendall, master commissioner, to settle account of the late receiver. A judgment for $768.28 for plaintiff was rendered in the case of C. G. Blake & Co. vs. Jackson Phillips Brick Company. Ella Rose Smoot vs. Frances P. Smoot, trustee, et al.; argument heard as to amending decree entered at last term requiring defendant to render statement of her trusteeship. C. T. Evans et al. vs. German Co-operative Building Association, No. 5, and the Alexandria Perpetual Building Association; order entered overruling demurrers and giving defendants sixty days to file answers.
