To our Friends and the Public: The rumor having prevailed through the country that we had suspended payment, we deem It proper to state that the run on our banking house has entirely ceased: that we have fully met every demand made upon us, and even eashed our certificates of deposit three months before due. To those of our friends who have so cheers fully stood by 118 and rendered ussubstantial assistance when our supplies were stopped by quarantiue, we take occasion to tender our grateful thanks, Particularly are we under obligations to the Houston and Texas Central Railroad and its Agent at thisplace, Mr. T. B. Easton. for finallities afforded us In placing funds during the pressure. Our business will continuo ns usual. We can now draw without difficulty, exchange on New York, St. Louts, Galveston and Houston.
